Turned Out

We were commissioned by Interlock Media to improve the audio quality and compose original music for the DVD release of their award-winning documentary. This proved to be a challenge for us given the solemn and sad undertones of the film itself. Being that it’s a film about sexual assault in prison, we decided to go with an approach that paid homage to the musical/cultural background of the inmates themselves by incorporating elements of country, hiphop, and rock, mixed with a feeling of cadence.

Catalyst Institute Presentation

When Schwadesign asked us to create music for an audio/visual presentation for one of their clients, we were very excited. We composed the piece while carefully keeping in mind the message of the presentation as to make the words being spoken even more poignant. In the end, we created a musical composition that conveyed the idea of solidarity with an uplifting feel to it, while injecting a corporate audio identity that could be used as an overlaying melody.

Community Music Works

The majority of the work that we have done for Community Music Works falls in the realm of audio sweetening. We have gotten the chance to engineer and enhance audio for projects ranging from NBC News spots to recorded performances of world renowned composers. Work of this type usually falls mostly on Mike’s desk, being the engineer extraordinaire that he is. I just sit back, add my two cents, and try not to get “bear clawed” by him. Because in the end, it always shines.
